scaning files at start up? hlp plse

    I want NOD to scan some files at boot. Like the master boot rec. etc...
    I really do not remember what is supposed to get scanned or if it all has changed. There was stuff in high mem bla bla bla...
    Could someone help me here and tell me what I should be scanning at start up?
    I would really appreciat the help
