scan takes 6 hours...help!

    I bought a 3 licence, 2 year deal for my computers as the reviews were very impressive. Unfortunately I've discovered that the system scan takes literally all night. Any ideas?

    On this computer I'm running windows xp sp3, AMD Athlon XP 3000+, 2.16 GHz, 3.00 GB RAM.

    do you have large or complex archive files (zip rar etc)?
