    Hi,

I have a problem with NOD32 V4 which is that the scans take far too long.

I started a FULL scan this morning and now I have canceled it as it was only 67% completed and had been scanning for just over 7, yes SEVEN hours!!! I ran a SMART scan and that was over two hours. (I ran it while I was doing the shopping :p )

Even my previous AV didn't take that long. What can I do to make it go faster?

    Thanks in advance!!

My computer is a Windows XP PRO with SP2. 512MB RAM 80 GB Hard Drive with Pent 4 3Ghz

AV: NOD32 v4 TRIAL, AS: SpywareBlaster, Spybot, Malware AntiBytes. Firewall: Online Armor

Try disabling archives / sfx archives. Maybe your previous antivirus didn't support as many archive types as ESET does and thus scanned less files in total.

Excuse me for asking but where do I have to go to do you do that?
And if you do that, isn't there a risk from an infected archive?
