Is it possible to scan in the boot mode, just before Windows start ?
This would be a very useful feature...
This is an older post, but it might help
Thank you for your reply Capp, but I was pertaining to a scan being scheduled on windows startup, similar to the chkdsk scan on a system volume, this would enable virus removal without file locks being an issue... This would be an extremely useful feature, if it were possible to implement.
You don't have the option currently to do a scan pre-boot.
The reason being that, NOD32 requires certain services and modules loaded to run properly. In order for these to startup, Windows has to be running.
I agree that it could be a useful feature, but honestly, scanning in Safe Mode would be pretty much as beneficial.
