But no problem with the trial version

I have the exact same problems with latest 2.5beta (I'm a registered user with a 2 year license):

    -----
Error occured while scanning operating memory. System memory cannot be scanned (the kernel services is not running or an error occured while loading nod32m1.vxd).

Error occured while scanning MBR sector of the 5. physical disk. Error reading sector.

Error occured while scanning MBR sector of the 6. physical disk. Error reading sector.

Error occured while scanning MBR sector of the 7. physical disk. Error reading sector.

Error occured while scanning MBR sector of the 8. physical disk. Error reading sector.

    -----

I'm assuming physical disks 5-8 are my memory card reader (USB) devices. However they are integraged into my monitor and not easily disabled. Is there a way to disable scanning of these drives?

nod32krn.exe is running according to System Services (set to "Automatic" Startup and with status "Started").

AMON / DMON / IMON are running according to Control Center.

My system is a recent (1 month old) Windows XP Pro SP2 install with no known problems.

    Can anybody offer suggestions?

    regards,
    halcyon

    hi halcyon

the MBR error messages you are seeing, relate to:

    1. you perform a system scan under the account of a limited user
    2. you have a special boot manager or suchlike program that alters boot sectors installed
    3. you use a card reader while no card is actually inserted

Thanks Stephanos, the MBR error is in my case related to USB card readers.

Any way to disable those drives from scanning and thus get rid of the MBR error messages? I can't disable the drives themselves (nor should I have to, as I use them daily).

Any ideas on the memory error ("error occured while loading nod32m1.vxd")?
It's not memory dimm related (memtest, prime95, s&m, pifast stable 24/7).

    regards,
    Halcyon

PS I'm not a limited user (but admin), I don't have smart monitoring software, I don't get error messages for my physical HDs (only USB drives), I don't have boot managers.

    Hi,

in my case it is NOT a warez thing (I'm a legitimate user, like I said, full 2 year license). Always have been.

I also ran my computer through a manual scan with:

    - Bitdefender 7.2
    - Antivir PE 6
    - Ewido 3
    - NOD 32 v2.5
    - Escan (KAV)

    All with latest updates.

    No virii or trojans found.

My system is more than likely clean :)

I still get the odd error with " nod32m1.vxd" though.

    Any more ideas?
