It keeps telling me there is update 1.9.8a available. I say yes to download it, I say yes to apply it. But nothing happens. Just the yellow flashing light in taskbar on the sbie icon. I can stop the flashing light by asking to check for updates when it then tells me there are none.
What does sbie+ mean? I Googled it, but it doesn't produce anything relevant. The top result was State Bank of India.
My portable folder for v1.10.0 (pre-release) is D:\SbiePlus. The following command now only downloads the latest stable v1.9.8 to D:\SB_Live Code: D:\SbiePlus\UpdUtil.exe install sandboxie-plus /channel:preview /path:D:\SB_Live How to update this command to download v1.10.0e or later (without using sandman UI)?
1.10.0 is not marked as pre-release, and its available for a month now. https://github.com/sandboxie-plus/Sandboxie/releases/ for those with winget (from/for MS store) https://winstall.app/apps/Sandboxie.Plus
v1.10.0 is marked as a pre-release. I just checked. No, just two weeks. I'm just nitpicking , but seriously, thank you for trying to help.
no worry here. apologized for the date i read the date for 1.98 and missed the state. not using sb+ but classic 1.10.0 with no issues for that two weeks now. sb+ is only portable extracted for beeing nosy.
I'm using Sandboxie-Plus v1.12.3 on two machines (Win7 x64 and Win10 x64). When i'm using the Help-menu "Check for updates", there appears an error window "Failed to check for updates, error: server not reachable". A week ago, all worked well. Also when i open Global-Settings / Support & Updates / Tab "Sandboxie Updater", there is no version number shown like it was before. So probably David should have a look to his update server, it seems there is a problem with it?
David changed the update-system with v1.12.5. See: https://github.com/sandboxie-plus/Sandboxie/releases/tag/v1.12.5 “We also announce a change in our update policy: automated update download & installation now requires an active supporter certificate to use the stable channel. Users on the preview channel with all the experimental potentially buggy test builds can still use auto update without a certificate. Users on the stable channel from now on will instead receive a update notification guiding them to our manually download page.” Maybe update to the latest version 1.12.7.
I updated to 1.12.7 manually and the server error is still there. I have a supporter's certificate also. I mean: it would be nice to be able to update to stable releases using the UI. Spoiler
