    Greetings,

I posted my experience on github yesterday, after seeing a post where two other people experienced exactly the same problem, more information can be found there:
    https://github.com/sandboxie-plus/Sandboxie/issues/2093

Long story short: New computer, new OS, installed Sandboxie. Everything looks good and normal (I have used Sanboxie on a regular basis for 7 years on my previous computer without any problems), until either:

    1. I tried to run MSI Afterburner inside a Sandbox (it wouldn't run as it tries to install a driver), or
    2. After that, I tried using “Disable Security Isolation (Experimental)” feature, just to see what happens. (Then disabled the feature again, as it can only run for 5 minutes.)

I don't know which one of these actions triggered the problem, but after that, every sandboxed application became terribly unresponsive (in a sandboxed Windows Explorer, it takes 2-3 seconds to just open up a folder, "Sandboxie COM Services (RPC)" process uses more resources, computer fans go crazy.) Noticed the new event viewer entries mentioned in the github posts.

The thing is, when I enable “Disable Security Isolation (Experimental)” feature for a sandbox, that sandbox seems to work normally first (a folder opens normally without 2-3 seconds delay, some programs seem to work normally, but i.e. I cannot open any MS Office files, web browser sometimes works, albeit pages load really slow) and any other sandbox in which "Disable Security Isolation" is not active runs terribly even for sandboxed Windows Explorer.

I tried uninstalling (removing everything I find on the computer related to Sandboxie)/clean installing recent, very old, the newest (I think released today) and Classic versions of Sandboxie, did a system restore to a point before I first installed Sandboxie to this computer, removed MSI afterburner from the computer, tried changing registry values (according to the links on the github page, not sure I did correctly though), tried disabling secure boot and Intel Turbo Boost from UEFI (because of a weird suspicion); nothing changes, still a terrible performance degradation or inability to use programs.

At this point it is impossible for me to use Sandboxie, and I am very sad because I have used this program almost every day for years, and I am very reluctant to let it go. At this point I am open to all kinds suggestions, and would very much like to see any kind of response from David Xanatos. “Disable Security Isolation (Experimental)” might be connected to this, although it seems even that is not a complete remedy.

It looks like throughout the years a lot of people had similar problems (another example: https://community.sophos.com/sandbo...pen-an-lsa-policy-handle-on-windows-10/406147) and I believe more people will experience it in the future.

    Thanks and best regards.

hmm... it is really strange that rebooting and reinstalling does not seam to help,
if you like we can make some remote session TeamViewer or Skype with screen sharing to try to debug the issue in real time?

Hello and thank you very much for your reply,
I would very much like to show you the problem in real time, don't know how to contact you though. I couldn't find a way to send a message to you through this forum. It would be great if you could provide some information about how I can contact you directly. I can also use Discord. (Sorry for my English, Gargoyles was a great series by the way :)
    Thank you, cheers.

Afterburner is not designed to run virtually.
and sandboxie do not need a full windows reset, uninstalling, deleting any sandboxie.ini, thats it.
    which security software is installed?

No security software is installed, and other than the Realtime protection, even most Microsoft Virus & Threat Protection settings are off.
