    Thank you, Bo.

I was just thinking that thanks to you, I got hooked on Sandboxie many years ago.
I've already forgotten the name of the forum that we were communicating.
It was many years ago, and I'm so grateful to you for your recommendation to start using Sandboxie, and, also, helping me with some questions.
    Thank you, Bo.

    Please help!

My Browser is FF and still in SBIE 5.33.6
I download very frequently macOS updates, I read Some browsers now only speak https. is FF one of them?

I am trying to download a Safari Update

    hxxp://swcdn.apple.com/content/downloads/06/32/002-02865-A_VQHMW5SC23/x193wtjutj4ik3o83rn5fd5fh7xeb694yb/Safari15.0BigSurAuto.pkg

Is it the reason why I can not download or is the SBIE version?

Something I can do to allow FF to speak with http:// entering about:config?

    Thanks
    Camelia

Hi Camelia, FWIW, I am able to download files from non https websites. However, I get same result and message than you from the Apple website. I doubt this result has anything to do with SBIE or 5.33.6.
I always browse in Private mode and tick "[*]Don’t enable HTTPS-Only Mode".

Suggestions: Since I know my Firefox is all good (I can DL from http sites), and I get same result than you do trying to download from the Apple website, I ll say that not being able to download from that website is not a problem but expected. So, don't waste time and effort fixing something that doesn't need fixing and try downloading that apple file using another browser.

I think not being able to download files from any http website, that would be a problem. If you find any regular website, and you cant download videos, or pictures or files from those sites, post the link here and I ll try them and see what happens.

I've started experiencing that kind of "mosaic" pattern with Firefox on my laptop with Windows 11.
After I've updated my laptop to Windows 11, almost everyday, I get a Firefox crash.
Let's say, I'm at the WildersSecurity forum, and, suddenly, my Firefox starts exhiting same kind of "mosaic" pattern and crashes.

Hi topo. I am still on Firefox 92 but tested 94.0.1 after reading your post. I was able to reproduce the messages you reported. FWIW, I think they can be disregarded and ignored. You can Hide them. I probably will when I do the real update to 94 or 95 if the messages are still triggered.

I got the messages navigating YouTube while going back and forth in the website using the "Go back Go forward one page" button, I think the messages were triggered by either using that button or when I copied something in a page with the browser. So, I dont think any of the programs you are using along Firefox and SBIE are causing the messages for you. Hide them and forget about them.

I haven't installed kb5005463 and wont install it (I have it hidden). So, it is unlikely this particular kb has anything to do with the messages. IMO, something in the Firefox 94 update triggers the messages. Anyway, this are messages that can ignored and disregarded. They are not worth worrying about them. That is what my experience with Sandboxie tells me.

@topo Ignore the reply above from Brummelchen. As usual, his replies on many of the things that are talk about in the forum don't have anything to do with the topic. His post creates confusion, ignore it.

    Hi everyone,

I hope it's the right place to post this message, apologies if not.

I'm new to SBIE: I love SBIE so far but there is one thing I don't understand: although I've enabled "Immediate Recovery", I'm never prompted to save files I downloaded with Opera when I quit it.
So my files are not saved and I can't recover them as I've also enabled the "Automatically delete contents of sandbox" option.

Thank you in advance for your help.

I use SBIE 5.53.3 x64 with Opera up to date (v81.0.4196.37) on Windows 10 Pro x64.

What happens if you enable Quick Recovery, are you prompted then to save them when you close your browser?

If I choose the desktop as destination folder for the downloaded file, yes, but if I choose another folder, no.

Does it mean there's no way to be prompted to recover downloaded files if they are not saved in a folder listed on the "Quick recovery" menu ?

This is my setting for Quick Recovery.
I deleted the other default options as I only want any downloads to go into my Downloads folder.
I am always prompted to recover any downloads when I close my browser.

Enabling Immediate recovery, Sandboxie automatically gives you a prompt after a download is finished, allowing you to recover the download.

Enabling Quick recovery is the option that will set up Sadboxie to prompt you after you close the browser before the sandbox gets deleted. With Quick recovery enabled (Immediate recovery disabled), you can recover downloads manually at any time before closing the browser via the SBIE user interface.

Important: The only folders Sandboxie checks for recovery are folders listed in Quick recovery So, if a folder you download/save to is not listed in the list, Immediate recovery or Quick recovery wont works as expected and you will not be prompted.

    Hello.

Where can I find the classical original signed 5.33.6 please?

I am currently using v5.33.3 and have no big issues but would like to upgrade.

It seems the link you provided is no longer working, says "Sandboxie is retired.".
