I am trying to set Sandboxie settings to allow the saving of the dynamic filtering rules that I set up for uBlock in Chrome. The rules that I set are saved inside the sandbox but are deleted when I empty the sandbox. Does anyone know what Chrome settings I need to use in Sandboxie that will allow saving of the rules outside the sandbox?

    Any help would be appreciated.

You need this two paths in direct file access (uBlock Origin):

    %Local AppData%\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions\cjpalhdlnbpafiamejdnhcphjbkeiagm\
    %Local AppData%\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Local Extension Settings\cjpalhdlnbpafiamejdnhcphjbkeiagm\

Thank you Minimalist and Mister X for your response. Sorry that I did not mention UBlock origin. I will add that direct file access. I am testing uBlock origin at this point and may try uBlock also.

    Thank you again.

well "cjpalhdlnbpafiamejdnhcphjbkeiagm" from gorhill is "uBlock origin" and "epcnnfbjfcgphgdmggkamkmgojdagdnn" from chrisaljoudi is "ublock" which has stopped obviously in april'15. so "ublock origin" is in active development and thats what you experienced. same for firefox. hth

    Hi :)

    I hope it's not offtopic:

Is there any need to add additional paths to direct file access if I use Firefox with uBlock Origin / uMatrix? If so, how is the correct path?

    Thanks a lot.

    Greetings, Nyte

You should give direct file access to file ublock.sqlite in Firefox profile folder.

    You're welcome. :)
I don't use Firefox right now, so I can't test if there is something else that needs direct file access.

I mainly use Chrome and FF only for some needs. For the moment everything runs fine :)
