This build fixed a couple issues with ARM64 and massively improves in the trace logging functionality. Sandboxie's core components can now log syscalls in user mode, hence syscall tracing is available also in compartment type boxes as well as for all win32 syscalls. Further more the Trace Log in the Plus UI has been massively reworked it can now handle 10 Million log lines in under 1 second. Install of Plus over the top on Win 10 went fine. Vivaldi and Edge running ok in different colour boxes.
It was first published as a regular release, but got bumped down to pre-release (probably because some potentially crashing bugs were found, that will be fixed in the next release)
I intended to make this a final release but a bug found its wa into the build (pressing clean up twice crashes sandma.exe) so it was down greaded to a pre release and a 1.6.6 is in the pipeline perhaps for friday we will see....
Yes, I'm sticking to 1.6.4 here as it's been one of the more stable and smooth builds for me in quite a while. Nothing in the changelog motivates me to update to 1.6.5 anyway. Edit: OK, yeah, I see there's a bug in there anyway. Just as well.
Hi, On Winindows 10 Pro. Uninstall of Sandboxie Plus and had to renistall Sandboxie Plus to get it to work correctly. Meaning to get desktop icon to appear.... Sandboxed Web Browser. Sandboxie Plus,Version # 164. Still will not working on variouses browsers, especially with extensions, added on to the browser. Avast Secure Browser will not Sandbox or take hold.
BTW, I'm not using the latest SBIE version, but can you guys install Encrypto via Sandboxie Plus? It seems like Encrypto's service isn't able to run, and when you try to encrypt files, the app will crash. I don't think it tries to install a driver, so in theory it should be able to work inside the sandbox. https://macpaw.com/encrypto
