Sandboxie offers quite a few translations already but some are outdated and many are still missing, here is a full list https://github.com/sandboxie-plus/Sandboxie/blob/master/TRANSLATING.md (will be updated later with info's whats outdated) as is apparent the Plus UI is still missing a bunch of translations. So I thought to create this thread to bring some attention to the situation and remind everyone that by providing translations cone can earn a perpetual CONTRIBUTOR style supporter certificate. That said I wanted to inquire your opinion an an other idea: Should we add a popup screen to the next plus release which would when it detects that the OS language does not yet have a translation, shows a one time notification informing the users that by providing a translation they can get a supporter certificate? nag screens are annoying but a one time information seams reasonable, and perhaps many users are unaware of the advantages of being a translator. What do you think?
Snadboxie-Plus Project Translations . Lucky you ain`t a translator. I think that is a good idè, since many, i believe, do not think about getting a free licens for translating. Also, adding to or updating the already existing translation is a easier job then doing a whole translation so it is fairly fast to do. So it should tempt 1 or 2 to fix their native language translation. The program Soft Organizer has something similar. When installing you can choose the language and it also informs about the possibility to change the language after finished install if not satified with the quality of the translation. So you can have the info at either, or both places.
I think I'll implement it like this, when the language UI is english but the OS language is something different, for what there is no translation available after 30 days of usage show a one time pop up informing about the opportunity to translate the project.
