    Any significance for this file SbieDll.pdb (that is not present in previous versions)? Just curious :)

    Installed over the top on Win 10. Running well although I had to open Edge unsandboxed for a brief moment in order to get red box to open quicker than 15 seconds.
    I use Right-click on Edge desktop icon to select to open red box.
    After I did that Edge red box opened normally.
    Edge had not been opened in the Windows session before I installed 1.9.3.
    Otherwise great job !

    Has anything changed regarding red and blue boxes and Edge in this build ? @DavidXanatos

    I am having difficulty getting them to open in Edge (no issues in Vivaldi) They show in GUI but do not open or take many seconds and I have to delete contents to get them to close.

    I have my profile for Edge in Global settings and I have restarted machine.

    Sometimes I see migrating large file for shader cache (I think) Not seen that before today.

    Thank you for the new function "show overlay icons". When deactivated, the program icons of the boxes are now easier to recognize again.

    As no one else seems to be affected I will leave it for now as I have a workaround.

    On first use of Edge after a cold boot (no fastboot here) a red or blue box takes over 15 seconds to load. If I am watching I will see 'migrating large shadercache file ' message bottom right of screen. My shadercache according to disk cleanup is only 93kbs.
    After that I can open red and blue in Edge with only a very slight delay.

    Then it will happen again in a new Windows session (after cold boot)

    Can you try after adding the rule below?
    Code:
    NormalFilePath=%UserProfile%\Desktop\

    Added that rule (global.ini) and even tried adding it just in red box. Made no difference. Yellow, green and orange all open quick in Edge.

    All colours open quickly in Vivaldi.

    I did the update for 1.9.3 via internal updater instead of downloading it. But I took installer out of Temp area and ran it from the desktop.

    I wanted to jump in and say that you're not the only one with this issue. I also have Edge taking a long time to load compared to other programs. I'm keeping a close eye on this thread to see if there's a fix. By the way, it seems to be happening using the red box.

    Does it have the same amount of delay when it is run on an empty box?

    Explain exactly how you want me to try please.

    Also...
    I even tried a new user profile with exactly the same results.
    When I open Edge in a red box and wait all those seconds for something to show this is what I see in the GUI.
    As you can see my desktop is still showing because Edge hasn't loaded.

    Ha! I was going to mention it earlier but I've been busy squashing some other issues in the 'Default Browser' thread. But I did want to mention that I quickly noticed the longer times Edge was taking to load in a red box so you're not the only one. Just another bug to squash!

    This is what I see when I'm waiting about 15 seconds for Edge to load:

    Does one of the following rules solve the delayed start issue? (Try each item separately)

    1. Code:
      NormalFilePath=%UserProfile%\

    2. Code:
      NormalFilePath=%AppData%\
      NormalFilePath=%LocalAppData%\

    3. Code:
      NormalFilePath=C:\Users\

    4. Code:
      NormalFilePath=C:\

    Are we trying each one globally or just in red box?

    Well I put first one in global.ini and it has made a big difference. It works on the blue box in Edge too :thumb:

    NormalFilePath=%UserProfile%\

    Hopefully it will still work in the morning after a cold boot :)

    @stapp Try adding it to the box for now.

    Try this instead (with pipe prefix):

    Code:
    NormalFilePath=|%UserProfile%\

    You will have to give better instructions to me.
    So you want me take the setting out global.ini and just put in in the red box ini only (no blue box) ?

    Remove this setting from global settings:
    Code:
    NormalFilePath=%UserProfile%\

    Add this setting to box settings (red box):
    Code:
    NormalFilePath=|%UserProfile%\

    Okay removed from global settings and put

    NormalFilePath=|%UserProfile%\

    in red box. It works. However blue box is taking ages to open now because the global setting has been removed..

    I tried the following one at a time/seperately ONLY in a red box using sandboxie.ini. Not sure which is the best one to use protection wise in Sandboxie Plus 1.9.3 and I'm not sure which would be best for all boxes (orange, blue, etc.).

    NormalFilePath=%UserProfile%\ --> Very fast

    NormalFilePath=%AppData%\
    NormalFilePath=%LocalAppData%\ --> Slow. Very slight improvement.

    NormalFilePath=C:\Users\ --> Very fast

    NormalFilePath=C:\ --> Very fast

    NormalFilePath=|%UserProfile%\ --> Very fast

    For me edge opens just fine 113 opens normally in blue and red boxes, strange...
    @DjKilla i assume you would get the same results for a blue box, right?
