Hi, just found out, Sandboxie is available at Filehippo.
Thought it strange it was under ' developer tools ' and not anti-malware.
Thought a lot of folk here, would want to leave a positive comment on the site, I did. :)

    Hi,

Sorry to sound rude, but why the new thread?

    Its only the free version,

And it can be downloaded directly from sandboxie website.

Must of got carried away :D
I always try to promote Sandboxie. I imagine millions of people use Filehippo, who have never heard of Sandboxie.
The only reason I posted here, was to get people who know Sandboxie's qualities, to post a positive comment on Filehippo. Thats it

I didn't know that there was a freeware version of Sandboxie. How does it compare to the paid version?

It compares quite favourably. The protection level is the same with both, however the free version has a delayed start (after 30 days) and you can only run one sandbox at a time. Also you can't enable forced programs or folders with the free version.

The paid version makes Sandboxie automatic, to me that's the main difference and a good reason to get a license if you like SBIE. Less thinking is required to get programs running sandboxed, makes using SBIE more relaxed. Nicer.

    Read here.
    http://www.sandboxie.com/index.php?FAQ_Licensing

Basically, when you install SBIE, you are installing the free version, you can keep it for as long as you want. As Andyman mentioned, protection is the same on both versions, amazing but true. Later, if you purchase a license, the free version becomes registered.
