Sandboxie 3.36 Released:
are there any new features added?any changes?thanks
Thanks for the heads-up, TheKid7!
See the screenshot.
another great update for sandboxie
i run "check update" but it does not report newer version.
Got it Thanks
I'm on it! Thanks!
Thank you Much appreciated software
now there is a Templates.ini in Sandboxie's program folder which contains predefined rules for applications.
For example, if you "Allow direct access to entire Firefox profile" via Sandbox Settings, then there is a line in the Sandboxie.ini:
And the related settings for this template can be found in the Templates.ini.
In my opinion these new settings and templates for application make Sandboxie much easier to configure for the common users.
thanks for the headsup
Tzuk never says die. Yet another improvement release, bug fixes, and it's as solid as a hunk of granite.
Thanks for the update notice. DONE!
when i press check for update, sandboxie says ther is no new update? does this new version not get auto updated?
from my experience SB open + browse fireFox slowly , i mean more slow than FF open with out SB installed
Guess not,as I had to manually download the new version.
The best just got better! Thanks for the notice.
Can't answer and to tell the truth I don't care. With Sandboxie, I have the peace of mind. Worth the few seconds.
I agree, what's a few seconds against bulletproof protection.
Thanks for the heads up!
Well I didn't go as far as to say nuclear bunker protection but SBIE does offer protection against the overwhelming majority of threats.
As for slowdown I'm the most impatient user ever and hate delays but SBIE really only adds minimally to the time Opera takes to initialize (FF slightly more but still not a threat to my blood pressure.)
for me in my case i don't tolerate any slow browsers due to a security app
i want to be as fast as speedy gonzales "andale" "andale" that's why i have ie6 "i believe i can fly" i believe i can touch the sky"
i think the term " what's a few seconds against bulletproof protection." is right and said in the right time ...when u got infected and need to restore/backup/clean your pc , u will maybe understand this sentence lol
The delay's of Sandboxie, while they can be measured are minor compared to the overal delay of say having realtime AV's and AS's running. I run without them primarily because of Sandboxie.
