Let's hope that this is some type of software problem. https://www.neowin.net/news/samsung...e-and-replace-990-pro-ssd-rapid-health-drops/

990 Pro is only a year old, but the 980 Pro has been around for three years, and people have been reporting this same issue with that drive, and Samsung has been refusing the 5-year warranty on those drives, when it is clearly a factory defect on Samsung's part. It is only now that they are at least beginning to acknowledge that something is going on. This is embarrassing for Samsung. I have the 970 EVO Plus 500 GB NVMe. Though I am satisfied with the drive, it runs very hot and the advertised write speeds are only available for the first 10-15 minutes of continuous writes, after which the drive throttles down to less then half the advertised speeds.
Well, if I understood correctly, it's not that clear yet, since some people have actually reported SSD failures.
