"The Stromous hacking group posted on its website Monday that it had hacked Coca-Cola's servers and retrieved 161 gigabytes of data Among the data it supposedly retrieved are financial data, passwords and commercial accounts The group is now trying to sell that data for more than $640,000..." https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...aim-Stormous-ransomware-group-stole-data.html
Coca-Cola was hacked long time ago when they ruined the time tested popular formula in it for the junk it's been ever since. Fun Fact: In it's heyday a 12 ounce cold (sterile/clean) bottle with metal cap and cork seal was .10c each. A silver dime or 2 nickels
True story, it's not what it once was. That said if they had that kind of data and that volume of data on a server that was connected to the internet it was bound to happen at some point.
Good point, but I have stopped drinking unhealthy stuff like Coca Cola, Sprite and Fanta like 15 years ago. And BTW, Elon Musk said that after Twitter he now wants to buy Coca Cola to put back the cocaine in it.
Do you remember the old CC dispensing machines? You drop the 10 cents in and the top of the machine which looked like a small fridge on its side opened. A metal rack inside containing 24 or so bottles rotated and then released a bottle. Damn machine always jammed. So I as a kid thought it was a great rip-off revenue generator for the hosting business establishment.
Probably a meme. I saw one earlier that said he was going to buy Doritos so he could fill the bags all the way up. But who knows? Maybe the original formula was in the hack.
no, it's real. saw the tweet on musk's official tw account. https://mobile.twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1519480761749016577
this one's a meme though: musk rt'd the above meme and said: https://mobile.twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1519495982723084290
True. Couldn't agree more. One would think a large corp would better protect against just such an issue proactively. After all these years this still happens.
Absolutely!!! And many were at the full service gas stations. That rack felt pretty good on a hot summer day for a few moments before actually going for the ice cold refreshment inside. Coca-Cola in clean sterile glass bottles in those days was the top notch for many, for years until that change up. I been lucky to find Double Cola at a single local store. That formula is exactly the same as we remembered years ago. Sold only in cans now but that's okay too. That historic fizz and taste is the closest to the old days soft drinks found anywhere. Puts Pepsi and RC Cola to shame. It's made and distributed out from in Chattanooga Tenn. https://www doublecolacompany
