Russian Internet giants protest against censorship law

This was very much a quasi-innocent move to "protect Russian culture." Not that it really makes it any better, but I don't see it as quite as nefarious as other attempts around the world to censor the net or use these bills for surveillance purposes. Though, this needs to be squashed - in whole.

 

It's no better or worse than other nations' efforts to protect corporations, citizens, culture, etc from the evil Internet. They're all repressive, and must be "squashed".
