I don't get it. Is terrorism common in Russia? What (fake) reason could they use to justify this?

They aren't even trying to hide the power grab anymore...
Easy to keep peons (and opposition) in check when no anonymous communication allowed...

In Russia democracy goes like this:
Putin, Medvedev , Putin, Medvedev, Putin, Medvedev ad infinitum....

No need for lifetime presidency or term limit abolishing like his colleague, Mr. Xi did....

What's sad is that they see the 'old days' as their pinnacle...

IMHO, they're all братва, and they've always been братва. Sometimes "communist", sometimes "capitalist", sometimes "nationalist". But always really братва, just kleptocrats. And sadly enough, it's pretty much the same, everywhere :(

Actually, this is a feudal country in it's concept. It has always been feudal, they just called that "communism" while in reality it had nothing to do with applied communism. They are now calling it "capitalism" but in essence it's the same thing as before.
Russians (generally speaking, there are exceptions of course) never shed the tzarist mentality and they still think that's a good thing.
    Sad.
