    I just bought this program, it's very nice so far. I want to know if there's a way to run the program in DOS from hard drive. I keep a small FAT32 partition on HD for running other DOS programs, and it would be very nice to be able to do this with Acronis. I've tried copying the rescue discs to the HD and running from DOS, but I get nowhere.

    TrueImage is not a DOS application, so I think you'll be out of luck there. Just keep your rescue CD handy in case of disaster.

    Hello rdgrimes,

    Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

    wdormann is correct, Acronis True Image 8.0 can not run from DOS.

    However, assuming that you are interested in running Acronis True Image 8.0 independently from Windows, I can say that you can do it in the following ways:

    - From Acronis True Image 8.0 Bootable Rescue CD;

    - Using Acronis Startup Recovery Manager;

    Please read more in Acronis True Image 8.0 User's Guide.

    - Using Acronis True Image plug-in for BartPE.

    If you have any further questions please feel free to ask.

    Thank you.
