    -run-time error339-MSCOMCTL.OCX'-etc

i keep getting this error when i launch a specific program..i have fixed the problem using an installer posted on this site from an earlier thread which dates back to 2003. however, the reason i am re-opening this topic is because i want to know if this is spyware/malware/virus?

    regards,
    mhd

runtime error 339, MSCOMCTL.OCX or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid

    Hello,

Did this error occur when launching ESET? If not, which program launch did the error display?

Also, have you had any threat alerts from ESET?

Knowing as much information as possible will help me narrow this down.

    Thank you,
    Richard

    Hello mhd292,

Try reinstalling the photo editing application. If you have recently installed another application on your computer, that installation could have made changes to cause this error. Please let me know if this helps.

    Thank you,
    Richard
