Run-Safer in Online Armor Free v3.5

If an application has current Unknown status, does it have the same Untrusted status ...

* Cannot install drivers
* Cannot write to system
* Cannot write to root of drives

?

 

Unknown apps prompt for "interesting" actions. Untrusted apps are blocked without prompting.

It is not the same as runsafer though. The set of actions we block based on trust state are more about thread and process manipulation.

Run Safer is a good option for lazy sods like me that can't be bothered with all that limited user accounts business. I haven't really noticed any problems with using it, as far as usability ... though for IExplorer I disable when using Windows Update. It will hinder this action, if you run IE with Run Safer.

 

This is great. Thanks for all the input guys. I'm now testing OA ++ Beta 3.5! And i have to say, I'm just loving it!

 

I like running with Sandboxie because the Firefox/Google spell checker works and so does LastPass. It doesn't hurt me to use run safer when I'm in a hurry.
