I noticed rtt maker of my cleaner/privacy tool of choice 'R-Wipe & Clean' have a free firewall. It's pretty much your classical firewall with an inbuilt add blocker. Runs very light here, if you are looking for just a firewall for 2000/xp or an older machine or maybe for 98 this would serve you well.

I ve tryed this in 2007 i think. The strange thing is that after one hour of usage Kaspersky 6 pop uped that it found a trojan in the folder of this application :)
    Removed it right away.
I think it has some issues and as it has no updates it should be left alone.
    I wouldnt recommend.

I've used it for a fortnight in two vms, Win 2000 and xp to monitor some connecting out, installed okay, working fine as a firewall.

    Mmm nothing like that here.

I'm with you there, but for what I wanted I didn't care about updates, leaks, my only concern is that it was working, free and basic.
