Rootkit Scan?

    When running a Rootkit scan should you run it in safe mode, and also should you unhide your hidden files and folders

    Most of the rootkit scanners operate in normal mode, exceptions maybe the rks inside of AV programs.
    They will give an error if run in Safe mode. Give it a try and see for yourself. Shouldn't be dangerous or harmful to try.

    RKU - Normal mode only
    Rootrepeal - Normal mode only
    GMER - Normal mode only

    It does`t matter. The scanner, just like the malware\rootkit :ninja: knows where they are. :doubt:
