My reading tells me that the MS system will allow it within 10 days of installing W10. I am looking at a system with W11 on it, but it becomes workable for me only with W10. Otherwise, a clean install is the only way. If you know of some other ways of doing it [after 10 days] please advise. Thank you.

Thanks very much for that. At the end of the process, do I buy Windows 10, or has it arrived without charge?
    Thank you again.

Thanks. Yes, it reads as if W10 and W11 are interchangeable, as far as MS is concerned. The guy in the computer shop said that MS would allow you to install W10 to the point of initialization, but MS were OK with it not being initialized. That went completely over my head. I may actually pay someone at a mom&pop computer shop to do it.
