Hi, What is the easiest and popular rollback software for testing new programs around here nowadays. This would be for windows 8 - 10. Would just like something that is good for being able to go back after uninstalling stuff and reboot.
♦ I use ToolWiz Time Freeze to do that; no needs to uninstal since after reboot the System is reverted to original state. ♦ I use ToolWiz Time Machine when I need to try / test new applications for some days after instalation; then I select the snapshot (that I did before to install the app. to try/test) and click in "Revert my system to selected" button.
There is Rollback Rx home edition...http://blog.horizondatasys.com/introducing-rollback-rx-home-edition-freeware/
Shadow Defender: https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/the-unofficial-shadow-defender-support-thread.293075/ http://www.shadowdefender.com/
Returnil is another alternative. You can use a sandbox (i.e. sandboxie) or virtual machine (i.e. virtualbox) to try new software too.
* Boot-to-Restore* software (e.g. Deep Freeze, Returnil, ToolWiz Time Freeze, Shadow Defender etc.) is not the same with *Snapshot* software (e.g. Rollback Rx, ToolWiz Time Machine etc.)
