    Hi I am a TDS-3 newbie...

Normally, when TDS starts up, it does a memory mutex scan, or a trace scan, and TDS will tell me after each one is finished by stating simply "finished" or "finsihed (no trojan mutexes found)".

However, when I manually initiate a file scan by right-clicking on a file and selecting "Scan with TDS-3", TDS fails to tell me that it is ever finished with the scan nor does it tell me if the file had a trojan or not. Instead, the TDS console simply tells me that it is "scanning" the file, and because it never tells me that it is finished, I am given the impression that it has been scanning that particular file FOREVER. Can anyone tell me, is this how the manual file scan is supposed to acto_O

It acts as you have described and only alerts if a trojan is found

otherwise all you get is the blank curser blinking in then bottom of the window
