Review: Mandriva 2011 "Hydrogen"

    I downloaded the 1.6 gig Mandriva 2011.1 DVD iso a couple of days ago only to discover that KDE is the default DE. That really sucked.

    On the other hand, Mageia 1 Gnome is really nice. It uses Gnome 2.32.1 (Classic view), LibreOffice, Gimp, Totem, etc., and Firefox 6.0 is available in the repos. Hard to believe they crammed so much into 621 mbs. Much better than Mandriva, at least IMHO.

    thanks for info Trespasser i didnt tried Mageia 1 yet may be some time soon in try

    how about the stability of mandriva its look to eye candy to me :D
