I can't seem to get the CastleCops forum to work to ask this question in the Returnil forum. So, I'll try here.

Why is there a choice of placing the Returnil Virtual System Engine either in memory or on the disk?

Is one more advantageous in certain circumstances than the other? I think memory would certainly be quicker so why use disk?

Thank you for any and all replies :)

My guess is you'd use disk if your system didn't have sufficient memory.

Does Coldmoon's answer here hit the key items for you?

Thank you BlueZannetti. I must have been searching in the wrong forum. That is exactly what I wanted to know. I play some intense memory hogging games and sometimes programs that use memory in nonstandard ways causes problems. It's good to know Returnil can use the disk to store recovery data even though it is not the preferred method. A big mahalo to BlueZannetti.
