    Hi guys,

Apologies if these questions have been asked before.
This is not about which one is better because they are both fine programs.

I Know that they are very similar products and I am trying to determine which one to purchase.

The new beta version of Returnil now comes with file protection which I believe now covers other partitions other than just C:

I believe that used to be the main difference between these two great programs.

So, if that is the case, what are the other differences if any?

I believe Returnil has a complete company behind it as opposed to Shadow Defender which has only one individual albeit a fine one. I believe Returnil would get the nod here because something happening to one individual is far greater than an entire company. Although in these economic times who knows.

As far as price goes, I believe Shadow defender gets the nod for its lifetime license of $35.00. Returnil has an annual cost of around $30.00.

I am currently using a free version of Returnil from GAOTD and I trialed Shadow Defender for 30 days and really didn't see much difference between the two.

    What am I missing?

    Thanks guys.
