Nothing like chilling out with a beer, putting a bit of Orb (ambient/chillout music), or Dark side of the Moon on and playing First Encounters, Frontier 2, Elite 3 (I have a great direct x patch for it that also removes all the bugs of the original release). Level of emersion, open ended-ness, continuity is great with this game, so far the only thing that has matched is it's prequel frontier, Elite 2, but it does'nt run well in Windows XP at all for me.

I tried X Beyond (nice atmosphere but a little too 2 dimensional), Free Lancer (too much action).
I've also refound Flashback, is quite fun, but too fustrating for me, any other games that are good and laid back (and will run on a 800mhz laptop) ?

What games do you chillout to, or do you just surf the web ?
