Restoring protected images

Acronis TI 8.0 build 800 (german)

Hi.

I am trying to reinstall a password protected image of the system partition C (laptop, Windows XP). I started with the Rescue Boot CD, chose the image, and then I tried to enter my password but the keyboard didn’t work. When I changed the keyboard there was no result. This is only after starting Acronis by Rescue Boot CD.

Any ideas?

Kai - how is the keyboard attached? PS/2 port or USB?

If on USB, you might have to enable some "USB Legacy Keyboard" setting or similar in your BIOS.

it's an internal keyboard (laptop). The external keyboard I've tried is connected on ps/2 port.
While starting from the CD when the small Acronis Image is displayed on screen and while the message "Loading, please wait..." is displayed you can input s.th. by keyboard and it works. But after TI is started no keyboard is working.
