Hello, any way to extract encrypted files (NTFS) from backup image on file level without necessity to restore the whole partition? The image was made with HDM 2011.

Did you try to use common ways to restore single file from archive?

That's what I tried. The file is completely unreadable regardless if I extract it to encrypted or unencrypted folder. I guess that the file is in the encrypted form but not decrypted after extraction. Is there a tool or Windows API to perform additional EFS decryption on particular file using current EFS certificate?

    Try this:
create a small NTFS partition then copy couple of files on it end set the encrypted attribute on them. Then open the image in archive explorer and export some files somewhere. Can you confirm the files unreadable(garbled)?

I tried to mount the image as partition. But I got this error:
    Operation failed
    Error source: Universal image mounter
    Error code: 0xe0000016
