Restoring Images to Different Partitions

    What issues can I expect if I restore an image to C:\ that was created from an OS install on a partition other than C:\? I'm not concerned with boot.ini entries.

    Hello Mark,

    Thank you for your interest in Acronis Disk Backup Software.

    There should be no problems if the image contains data only. However, if you have operating system and Windows loader (that is installed on C usually) in the image and restore it to another place Windows may not boot because the MBR will no longer point to the loader.
