    Hello,
The purpose of this question is to settle an argument:
When one restores an image from the Acronis rescue disc ,how should be called that operation.
Is it restoring in DOS or something else.
    Thank you.

The programme is restoring in a Linux based operating system if you are booting from the CD created by True Image.

I personally use a VISTAPE operating system booted from USB flash drive to run TI so I can backup and restore.

    Hello,
    I undestand that.
But what I meant was that when Windows does not work anymore and that we boot from the Acronis rescue disk to restore an image instead of restoring from Windows ,aren't we working in the MS Dos environment?
    Thank you

The Full Mode version of TI is based on Linux, not DOS. Linux is the OS that's running.

The Safe Mode / Safe Media version of TI is based on DOS, but not Microsoft's DOS.
