I used the Hasleo program to perform the HD(SSD) backup on my computer.
I used the option “System Backup” that included:
    - The C partition
    - A 100MB EFI system partition
    - A 16 MB Microsoft Reserved Partition
    - A 505 MB Microsoft recovery Partition
And got one file “System backup file”

Question 1: If the HD dies and I want to copy the System to a new installed HD.
Will the restoration of the “System backup file” (i.e. the C and the three additional small partitions mentioned above) be ‘automatically’ restored? i.e. I will get back the four partitions.

The same question if the C drive is infected and I want to restore it. Is the “location” for the “System backup file” restoration the C partition only?

Question 2: I have also the option to perform a backup to the C partition alone.
If in this case the HD is dead, do I still have the option to copy the operating system (C partition) to a new disk and operate it? What about the other 3 small partitions?

I'm using Acronis for my backups.
Full system drive(SSD) backups to my D:\ (HDD) drive and external SSD drive.
If my system drive fails to boot for some reason, i can restore via:
    -Acronis GPT/UEFI boot menu
    -Acronis WinPE USB stick
If my system drive is dead and i want to replace it to the new one, Acronis USB boot stick does have a feature "Add a new disk".
Then just restore backup image to the new drive. My system drive backup size is about 30gb, restoring it from HDD->SSD takes about 7 minutes. External SSD->internal SSD 5 minutes.

@samy, when you load your backup file in the restore wizard, it will give you the option of either restoring all 4 partitions, or just a single partition. So if you just want to restore the C partition, you can do so. Same with restoring to a new hard drive, you can restore just 1 partition or all 4 depending on your preference.
