    Hello,

by mistake I overwrote the contents of a subdirectory. No problem for a True Image (10.0 build 4.942) user I thought. I tried to restore the directory C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\Anselm\Eigene Dateien\jalbum\a64geburtstag and was very surprised that True image only shows the directory C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\Anselm\Eigene Dateien\jalbum but not the subdirectory a64geburtstag. I tried the same with with an older backup, but the subdirectory doesn't appear. What can be the reason? It's the first time that I have such a problem.

    Thank you in advance,

    Anselm

    Hello Anselm,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Most likely the reason is permissions on the subfolder. Please have a look at this FAQ article and see if the described solution solves the problem.

    Thank you.

    Hello,
No, there is no "Access Denied" message.

On my hard disk the directory jalbum looks like that:
    http://www.anjora.de/muster/true_image_restore_1.jpg
(a64geburtstag is the subdirectory I overwrote by mistake.)

Searching for the subdirectory to restore shows no subdirectory of jalbum:
    http://www.anjora.de/muster/true_image_restore_2.jpg

And mounting the image even not:
    http://www.anjora.de/muster/true_image_restore_3.jpg

    I hope you can help.

    Regards,

    Anselm

    Hello,

after due consideration I have no other explanation: the missed subdirectory seems to never have existed where I searched it and not to have been overwritten but created new. Don't waste your time furthermore with that mystery.

    Thank you,

    Anselm
