I have created an image of my HD and I saved it on an external HD (firewired); after I have created 7 bootable diskettes; i would know: if my OS is corrupted can I restore the image from an external HD and so restart the OS?
    thank you

I assume you created boot diskettes because you can’t burn a CD.
Anyway, I would boot from the diskette and be sure that TI can recognize your external drive and find the backup image file. If so, then you should have no problem doing what you proposed.

    Hello GULLUWING,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

In addition to what TheWeaz has said, I would also recommend that you take a look at this post made by Menorcaman.

Note that you can find the detailed instructions on how to use Acronis True Image 9.0 in the respective User's Guide.

You may also find Acronis True Image 9.0 Home FAQ page helpful.

If you have any further questions concerning Acronis software, please feel free to submit a request for technical support or post any of them on this forum. We will certainly try to help you in resolving any issues.

    Thank you.
