    Hardware detection of malware would be a good thing as long as the detection process would be invisible to everything running on the machine. You could achieve this with software just a well however. If the malware detection ran as a hypervisor it would have access to memory but be undetectable by malware. Of course a hardware solution would be best for a hypervisor as well because you would want it to load from read only memory.
