I've noticed that when booting with the rescue disk created from within the ATI2009 program (b9796), there is a small postage stamp icon in the lower right corner that has an "EN" showing in it. Any idea what this is for?

Purely a guess ... English. But why it is there, who knows!

Hovering the mouse over the "EN" brings up this message, "To change the keyboard layout, press CTRL + SHIFT". Doing this produces no results.

So quite possibly it is meant to change the language of the keyboard .... but it doesn't - probably another example of incomplete programming. But who cares as long as the software works - now that's a horse of a different color. :D :D

    Hello all,

Thank you for using Acronis True Image

You can press CTRL + SHIFT to change the keyboard layout.

For example, if you have a German version of Acronis Bootable Rescue Media, you can change the layout from the German language to the English one, and vise versa. The same thing is available for all localized versions (French -> English, Spain -> English, etc).

If you use the English language version, this option is unavailable (English -> English)

    Thank you.
