Help, I have been getting help from Tech Support Guy threads and they suggested I try here. I keep getting this error on my browser line after about 15 minutes on the web. I have Norton Internet Security with their firewall. I have used the Hijack this program and they helped me do some things in my registry but nothing stops this from showin up.

The moderator thought in might be NIS causing my DSL to not validate somehow with NIS and then they turn me off.

My dilema is how do I make my system stop getting to this point.

If I reboot I am fine for another 15 to 10 minutes then poof IE points back to this res://c:\windows\system32\shdoclc.dll/dnserror.htm and "page not found"

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi sshinstrom

... and welcome to Wilders :)

Have you tried all the steps here: General Cleaning Instructions?

In the event it may be NIS related, anything showing up in the logs when you get this error?

    Regards,

    CrazyM
