hi, with version 3 do you have to reset anything after reseting winsock? as you had to reable imon in v2.7. many thanks.
When talking to support personel in our part of europe they frequently asked us to do a netsh winsock reset on our Nod32 v3 business AV when we had some problems. Now your telling me nod32 v3 doesn't use winsock at all ? I'm confused here... /LilliZ
Yes , I am , at least not in the way v2's IMON use it . Perhaps you have been advised to reset the Winsock because you may have had v2 before , this would fix any pottential winsock problem that IMON might have left
Hi, Any program that hooks into winsock can can affect the LSP when installed or uninstalled. Many anti malware programs are now working there. By having you do a netsh winsock reset they were probably eliminating the possibility that your old AV was the cause, not saying that NOD32 was. Thank you, BFG
