removal of java/ByteVerify

How do I remove this virus. My antivirus software picks it up but I can't get rid of it.
Please help!

When i go to try sand open up the Java pugin icon it refuses tp open up

how else may i remove this exploit or fix the java plugin problem?

What version of JRE are you using - maybe you need to upgrade?

At any rate, the byte verify problem will remain if you just clear the cache and visit the same website where you picked it up - you will pick it up again! If you want to avoid the problem in the future, disable the Java cache, and the malformed applet will not be able to get onto your system - however, the side-effect is that some webpages may not properly render depending on their use of Java applets.
