    Hello all,
We're pleased to announce a new test version of Prevx - it isn't final yet as we have an exciting feature that we're still working on finishing, but here is the changelog:

    - Added Japanese, Russian, and Portuguese languages
    - Added support for Opera v10.50
    - Improved DNS server protection
    - Added the ability to exit out of compatibility mode by changing configuration back to Maximum (and rebooting)
    - Added support for importing UTF-8 encoded string data
    - Fixed some issues on Australian/New Zealand installations
    - Fixed support for IE7 and Chrome trying to access Java at the same time
    - Fixed a stray issue that could cause Firefox not to load properly
    - Fixed compatibility with "KatMouse"
    - Moved the "Authenticating Files" configuration into the GUI rather than overriding it at the code level
    - Fixed a couple inconsistencies between the trial version of SafeOnline and the fully registered one
    - Numerous improvements in Enterprise support
    - Improved self protection on the Prevx keyboard protection
    - Fixed an issue analyzing some specifically malformed registry hives at the raw level
    - Significant user experience improvements while in trial mode
    - Improved keylogger protection - kudos to MRG for their research assistance!

You can download this version for a fresh install from: http://info.prevx.com/download.asp?grab=edgebeta or if you are on a 64bit platform, you can download it directly from http://info.prevx.com/download.asp?grab=edgebeta64

Please let me know if you have any questions or find any problems! Thank you for the testing! :thumb:

Hi Joe the Tab in Opera 10.50 is still not showing any info and it is in the wrong place now and I tried a reboot also.

    I have a question.
How many of these changes pertain to SafeOnline?
I see one item reference to SafeOnline, what about the others?
    Thank you! :)

Most of them do :) The ones that are Prevx 3.0 related are:

    - Added Japanese, Russian, and Portuguese languages
    - Numerous improvements in Enterprise support
    - Fixed an issue analyzing some specifically malformed registry hives at the raw level

The tab is now in the "right" place (difference of opinion apparently :D) but we'll make some changes to anticipate a browser layout like yours as it definitely isn't in the right place for you!

I'm not terribly familiar with Opera and their build formatting but my version of Opera looks very significantly different from yours, TH... I'm on version 10.50 build 3296 (which is actually very, very nice - probably one of the best browsers I've used from a sheer functionality standpoint). Could you let me know what build you're using?

I uninstalled Prevx and rebooted and did a fresh install of this Build and same results with Opera 10.50 Build 3296.

    IE8 & FF 3.6 are fine!

Opera 10.50 Build 3296. I can do what you have but then I can't use any Toolbars or Quick links but also I don't get any info in the tab as in my previous post #4?

 I'm confused! Our builds look significantly different - could you send me a full screenshot of your Opera and maybe some information on configuration settings? It would appear that they have completely different modes of operation if that's the case.

    Peculiar indeed...

And it's all under appearance settings: You should put it back over here as it was before like firefox is that would solve the problem of location!

Thanks for the info, TH! I'm going to play around here as well and see if I can reproduce it - it is very likely that changing the display/appearance settings would mess with Prevx a bit... I'll see what we can do to handle this better :)

Did you look in the left corner? See my screen shots! Sorry it should be on top of the tab! What appearance settings do you have?

    TH,
    Go to
    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=266591
post #9 and click on that link. Increase the value from 1 to 18, go to the bottom of the page and click save, exit that page and restart Opera browser. That sits the Prevx tab just right.
    Hope it works for you.

It looks like you're on a 64bit OS - SafeOnline will still not integrate into Opera/Chrome on x64 PCs - for now, just stick with IE/FF on x64 :)

Sorry it didn't work with this problem as I have enough space above tab! To me it needs to go back where it was when using Opera 10.10 as it is in FF 3.6!

    Thanks,

hi...........the prevx tab issue is due to tab bar being ticked or unticked in appearance settings....further the placement changes when you maximize it..

I tried that and it does nothing to fix the problem they just have to put back where it was like here in FF 3.6!
