It had 2 stables but they were quickly "eclipsed" because the betas included huge differences, the stables weren't worth the shot.

unlimited time demo more precisely , however you have a limited number of processes allowed to be isolated (10 unless they changed it) , so don't use Chrome or use the multi-process feature of FF.
You can test isolation for other apps and have a good idea how it works.

@clubhouse1 since ReHIPS is a very different type of sandbox, i will suggest you to register to their forum : https://forum.rehips.com/ (you will have some reading to get a better idea of what it is and what it does and don't)

basically in ReHIPS what you will face?

case 1- you run a apps/process not in the rule pack (or with a unique string):

1- based on the level you choose , you will have an alert asking you to block/isolate/allow the process and for how long (permanently/only the session/once) , this is the application control of ReHIPS.
2- if you choose isolated (you will have another window with some more complex options to tailor the isolated environment (IE)then once done , you will be directed on a virtual desktop.

case 2 - apps is present in the rule pack

1- ReHIPS will launch it as defined by the rules (which can be edited in program tabs). Listed browsers will run automatically isolated (but in this case on the normal desktop) , Office will run isolated on virtual desktop, etc...

if you use severalaccounts, you need to go in ReHIPS setting and set them as trusted account so REHIPS will be loaded to them too (if not the UI won't appear but the protection is present) then go in those accounts and set ReHIPS to autostart.

the rest you will have to learn or wait for my guide , if i have time to do it :D

I'll try it this weekend although to be frank when I boot up my computer I'd rather trawl the web and finding some amazing "stuff" I don't really want that time consumed trying to tame software or have it tame me:p...I'm not that paranoid about the risks of malware as is often noted sensible browsing and being aware of likely traps is foremost. The thing is its more than 6 years since any AV or security app has actually served any real purpose to me, aside from expected warnings via testing I haven't had a problem.

indeed people have different prioroties/hobbies; i like security apps and especially tweaking those apps and the OS , and try to make my system unbreachable ; feel like a mechanic without the grease :D

My ReHIPS About shows 2.2.0 for everything with the option to Register>Order License.

Do I need to re-download and install this stable (paid) version 2.2.0 over the top, and do I need to uninstall first? Or can I just order a license and Activate my existing version?

The installer I used is ReHIPSSetup_2.2.0_RC4_prosperity.exe so I presume I can install over the top?

I understand that, my education finished in 1972 so no computer studies whatsoever!..I entered the world of IT via ZX Spectrum and eventually bought a desktop with the state of the art Win 95, I think I would have been a full on nerd if I had been introduced it via schools\college etc, but it just became a hobby and I was more intrigued by the wealth of info that opened up to me.
