As with previous versions it has issues with false positives, so the registry cleaner should be used with caution. However, some of the other features it has could be quite useful.

    Thanx for posting !

Been using RS since the early 2000's, so this rare update is a nice surprise. Briefly tried the non install version, & discovered the free versions don't now do a Deep reg scan as before. While this is good for non techies, as it only shows non critical entries for deletion, other may wish to invest in the pro versions, or use earlier versions too.

This version is indeed a Lot quicker, as it's a rewrite of the code, & has many other useful features earlier versions did not.

    Nice

looks like another form or CCleaner with advanced registry search.

there is a bug in the tweaker - the mark is not removed when restoring defaults.
it would also be more clearly if the mark is set in the line of the tweak, not at the bottom.

also may improved the sub menus left side - more visibility that a sub menu is present.

at least - not my favorite

Yep, like a few with some real juice this one can strip things out much better than before. DECISIVE.

Always do a BACKUP as precaution.

Haven't used Wise Registry Cleaner in a while. Been using their separate utility WiseDiskCleaner for a couple months.

I only use Glary Utilities & JetClean now.

I think RegSeeker is thorough & dangerous. I have the portable & will remove the shortcut I created so I won't use RegSeeker willy nilly.

Indeed, I like reg cleaners, but this one just goes too deep, from what I remember, but I can not test it now, since there is no scan option, just clean.

Wise is free, Regseeker is paid (advanced cleaning). That is good enough reason for me, not to use it.

While this is undoubtedly one of the best reg cleaners, if not the best, I rather keep it aside. I recall when I had a Vista I used it once having ended up in the clean Vista reinstall. I didn't blame RegSeeker I blamed myself being an idiot to use it without knowing what it does. Yeah, you're learning the whole life ... But I got to the point where I adhere "sometimes less is more". So CCleaner's reg cleaner is enough and safe for me.

Thanks everyone for your inputs. I am still using Wise Registry Cleaner for over 3 years without any harm to my OS or personal documents. It really helped me to improve performance of my PCs and made them faster in response & stable.

I've used it on Windows XP years ago and it was really too thorough for my liking. I usually got offered hundreds of registry keys to delete.

Wow did not realize this was still around. I remember using it years ago. Also, same experience as @Minimalist had.

Unfortunately the review fails to mention that RegSeeker should be used with extreme care, and you need to manually check for false positives before letting it clean the registry. Or even better, don't use it.

In exceptionally rare cases, cleaning the registry may lead to increased performance or fix problems. But, there is never any actual need to clean the registry, no matter how much you use your computer or how much software you install and uninstall.

I like Regseeker for finding text strings in the registry. Used it for that (only) for years. Agree it is quite aggressive and one must be careful.
