Hi I have just upgraded to TDS3 from the trial version
ana email arrived telling me how to enter a required file into my TDS folder

I have clicked copy (and pasted it into my directory0 it is showing there but nothing happens
Mt TDS3 still shows as the trial version.

The file sent by email looks very small and just shows as a shortcut icon in myTDS directory.

Could someone advise a dummie how to get this to work

Hi norbel, Not sure if it is zipped or not, the file name is tds3.kf and is about 5KB ? If it is zipped then unzip it to your main TDS3 folder, if it is tds3.kf then copy and paste to your main TDS2 folder, then reload TDS3 using the TDS file menu item.

    HTH Pilli :)

Hi and thanks for rapid reply

The TDS3.kf came with hotmail 0.01 MB with an attatchment clip at the side.

I clicked copy on this and pasted into my TDS directory

I have registered on site no problem for the forums etc.

it won't work with copy & paste from hotmail

click on the attachment clip and download/save it to ypour desktop

then that should appear as tds3.kf

then copy & paste that to TDS3 directory

what you have done is copy a shortcut doiung it the way you have

And after adding the keyfile to your TDS directory (re)load TDS.

    Hi
This is the form of the attatchment

    Attachment : tds3.kf (< 0.01 MB)

    The tds3.kf is in blue

If I save this to desktop I get login.srf on my destop

Hotmail seems to have taken over this attatchment in some way.

    Thanks to date

    That sounds good! Congratulations.

You could do a test for yourself and forward the email from hotmail complete with attachment to your other email address and see how it comes in.
Make sure you keep a backup copy of your registration email and keyfile -- preferable outside your system.

Now you know for sure for possible future occasions.
It does sound strange as i got forwarded malware samples complete in emails with attachments from there and they were still as bad as before; maybe the keyfile is more sensitive.
Anyway, you solved it and seem to have lots of fun with TDS like we all do.
