I installed the trial version of regdefend and for some reason, its not picking up anything. It is active but doesn't work. It doesn't even prompt me once for anything. Any idea why?

    Hi dja2k :).

To find out what is possibly going wrong here I would like you to answer a few questions for me and perform a simple test if you are comfortable doing so:

1.) What Operating System/version of Windows are you using?

2.) Is the RegDefend icon showing in the systray?

3.) Are the Registry Groups in RegDefend ticked so as to be active?

4.) Open regedit (START> RUN> Type in "regedit" without the quotes> select OK and then Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and right click on the empty space then select:

    > NEW
    > Key

as soon as you select Key you should get an alert from RegDefend? - if so then choose to Block it.

Please post back with your answers and the result of the simple test.

    Regards,
    Jade.

I got it to work already, thanks. Will tiral it and see how it goes. I guess it didn't install right the first time maybe due to me using DiamondCS Process Guard, but I disabled Process Guard and installed Regdend again and it works.

    Thanks
