I am interested in the True Image 8 product and have a question? Could a recovery disk be made of an entire C drive inclulding the operating system and then be used in the future if a reformat of the hard drive were done. In other words could you create an Image of the C drive, reformat the hard drive and then install the Disk Image to the drive as a method of a total recovery disk?

Also would you use the Image File or the Cloning feature to make the Recovery Disk?

Yes. It will even work for multi-boot systems on one drive.
I use the imaging method as that allows me to backup all my drives to one external drive. Cloning would backup only one drive.
