Recording sound-on-sound, mixing

    I need software which will allow me to mix sound-on-sound, maybe 4 tracks, and mix it a bit, nothing elaborate. Can anyone suggest software which will do that?

    What about Audacity?
    It's free open source software. :)

    Sure, it may be better, but you still have to register to download the free version. I really hate to give my email address and personal info to try something out. :eek:
