Recent PC Mag review: Word restore corrupt

    I am running True Image 8 build 826.

    In this month's PC Magazine review of True Image the following was raised:

    1. "when we tried to restore single files using Explore Image feature... we found our Word and Powerpoint files were corrupted and could not be opened....Acronis...fixed it during our testing and after the update, we were able to restore Word and Powerpoint files with no problems."

    I am assuming this problem was with a recent build, since it was just reviewed this month.

    So, with what builds is this a problem?

    With what update version is the problem solved?

    Always update to the latest build to get the best of the software. After all it's free.

    Hi Greg,

    The Explore Image corruption was due to a serious bug in the image mounter module of Build 859. It was corrected reasonably quickly in the next build (Build 889).
